I keep forgetting to blog about the next possible NIH schedule...IF the cells begin growing. I had an email from the doctor at NIH the day before yesterday, telling us that he would be getting in touch with us in about two weeks. At that time, if the cells have started growing, then a time will be set up for Woody to come back for two days as an out patient...he will have an MRI, CT Scans, blood work, etc. to establish a baseline to use as a comparison on down the line during and after his treatments. At that visit, Woody will also sign the consent form to go on to the next phase in the study. Then we would come home and I guess wait for several more weeks while the cells continue to grow and then go back to MD. At that time Woody would be admitted into the hospital for about a three week stay. NOW all the above will happen only IF the cells GROW.
my mom was allergic to everything but paper tape - if you haven't tried it, i would do that - good luck!
