| Esther is their team's lead off batter and made two hits (and scored both times) and also made a sacrifice hit...so she scored another run not by crossing the plate herself...but by hitting the ball so another player on her team came in to score, even though Esther was thrown out. |

| The blur is Joy taking off running after she smacked a three-run home run! Joy told me yesterday that she wanted to hit a home run...especially a grand slam! Well, she just came one run shy of a her BIG wish! Maybe another time! That's Esther coming in to score from third base! |

| Joy pitched in a game for the first time last night...to two batters. Tonight she pitched the whole game (3 innings) and came away with a win (11-7)! She did a great job and was told by one of her coaches to expect to be pitching more! Joy was definitely the star of the softball game tonight! Joy received the game ball. |
