It was another busy Tuesday for ball games. Joy and Esther had a game at 5:30 and Elijah had a game at 7pm. We have been home for a little while. Woody checked on the Cardinal game after we got home. Games! Games! Games! The girls won their game handily and Elijah's team lost by just a couple of runs. Good games played by both teams! The evening started out rather warm because we were sitting in the sun, but ended quite chilly by the time the sun went down.
We had school this morning. It was another pretty day so my readers and I read outside on the front porch. Abigail decided that she wanted to read inside as by the time she got there it was quite noisy...the neighbors across the street were having MORE trees taken down and Woody was mowing the front yard. Joy and I worked on her sewing notebook. It is caught up to date except for adding two pictures that we printed today which are drying. She can tape them on their page next week...or when she comes over sometime this week.
Woody got the front yard mowed...a good job done for the moment. After lunch, I headed off to get my hair cut and then ran an errand before coming home. Woody was gone to another doctor appointment by the time that I got home. He is having to check in with the nephrologist periodically as his kidneys have been compromised due to all his treatments over the years for melanoma...one thing gets better due to treatments, but it messes with something else in your body! The doctor is just keeping a close watch on "things."
We ate an early supper...last night's leftover pasta and sauce. Then we headed off to the ball games. Woody went to the girls' game for a while and got to see Joy and Esther bat the three times that they batted and got to see them hit and score. When it got closer to Elijah's game time, he headed off to their game and I stayed and rode to Elijah's game with Kathy and crew. Another busy day in our household. Our recliners are calling our names...Woody's downstairs in his recliner watching TV and probably reading and I'm heading into my recliner in our bedroom to read as soon as I publish tonight's blog.
