I started this blog to keep folk up to date on my husband's melanoma treatments. I have kept up daily blogs for 15 1/2 years…sometimes health related...sometimes just daily routine. June 16th Woody took his final breath in his long health battle. I have blogged for so long that it is part of my daily routine…so I guess I will continue with posts from me about how I cope with this new stage in my life…widowhood.

Reflections on National Day of Prayer 11 years ago
This photo shows where we were on this day and date back in 2010. A lot of water has passed under the bridges between our house and The National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland! This day Woody had surgery to remove another melanoma tumor in an attempt to grow TIL cells (good fighting cells) that couod be put back in Woody in order to fight off his melanoma. I am not sure if this is the surgery that was successful or if there was another one...some details grow faint!!
I have attempted to share a link to that memorable Day of Prayer all those years ago. It was interesting to be on government property on a National Day of "anything!" If the link opens you will see that I slipped out of Woody's hospital room long enough to go to the small gathering on the grounds.

Woody has just gotten home from delivering Elijah home after a rain postponed game. That means time for his supper shake! I will say that I was right about my package...from Nashville it passed by Tullahoma to go 70 miles to the Post Office in Chattanooga to be redirected back the 70 miles to Tullahoma...maybe tomorrow?!? Rolling my eyes! Be safe! Be well! Be cautious!
link didn't work...you can go next to the blog body and click on 2010 and then May and you will see a title 6 lines down that says "National Day of Prayer"
