I started this blog to keep folk up to date on my husband's melanoma treatments. I have kept up daily blogs for almost 15 years...sometimes health related...sometimes just daily routine. My husband was in remission with his Melanoma but new melanoma diagnosis 3/2021 so started back on Keytruda. 8/2020 began home Peritoneal Dialysis. 7/2022 began training for home hemodialysis…never a dull moment! Come join us in our daily routine...sometimes humdrum...sometimes sit on the edge of your seat!

A Slooooooow Day
It has been a slow day because we haven't done very much and also a slow day for Woody's dialysis. I think today's treatment took the longest time ever. Woody says that it may be his "fault," as several times during the night he woke up with the alarm going off due to a slow drain. He has no idea how long those alarms had been going off...in some ways it was good that he was in that deep of ansleep, but in other ways he needed to shut off the alarm and change positions to make the drain process go faster. At least we had no appointments we had to get to today. Now tomorrow is another thing all together...he has an appointment with his surgeon late morning. I'm going to make tonight's blog short and sweet so I can go get his dialysis machine set up so we can start a bit earlier than usual. Tomorrow he is due to get his stitches out of the long incision on his arm. It is really healing very nicely...though he will be left with an ugly scar...at least the place is healing! Be safe! Be well! Be cautious!
