I started this blog to keep folk up to date on my husband's melanoma treatments. I have kept up daily blogs for 15 1/2 years…sometimes health related...sometimes just daily routine. June 16th Woody took his final breath in his long health battle. I have blogged for so long that it is part of my daily routine…so I guess I will continue with posts from me about how I cope with this new stage in my life…widowhood.

BOO!!!
Tonight's photo is from our last barn trip...thought it was a good one for tonight's spooky evening! We've been to prayer meeting and are safely home. We got through, perhaps, the last dialysis done through his access that we have been using. Today went well up until the end and when we were ready for the rinse back, we got alarms...never figured out what was causing them...the rinse back happened while we dealt with the alarms...I did call the nurse on this one and we finally got to the point of being able to shut the machine off! The numbing cream and the special needles that we need arrived by FedEx today so I guess we are set for tomorrow. The nurse will arrive at 8am and I am to have him to the point of getting connected prior to her arrival. Then we will begin the next learning curve. We returned a little while ago from Monday Night Furnace Room Prayer Meeting. Woody had a light supper and now is getting settled in for the night. We will get going a bit earlier than usual so I guess we both need to settle in a little earlier tonight. Update tomorrow night on how well his graft works! At least have our own nurse on hand tomorrow for any alarm or whatever help we might need. The nurse did tell me today that we won't be doing labs for a few days because we are starting with small needles and a lower flow rate. I will play follow the leader tomorrow. I expect to watch this first time. Be safe! Be well! Be cautous!
