When Life Gives You Lemons!

What a day with the internet! It has gone off and on all day from early this morning till just a few minutes ago. It's back on for the moment so I decided that I would go on and blog "while the blogging is good!" It has taken me quite a few tries to just get the photos added. These photos show what Nathan brought me last night a dozen plus a couple lemons. I ended up getting 2 2/3 cups of lemon juice which filled two ice cube trays. The ice cube trays are in the freezer. When they freeze I will pop them out of the trays and put them in a freezer bag and I will have cubes equal to two tablespoons to use when recicpes call for lemon juice. This mroning I have continued to decorate for Fall which means I have done quite a bit of cleaning, too...working on the kitchen counters now. I am going to end this now before I get disconnected, again. Nathan did check for me and Spectrum is having a connectivity problem in Tullahoma...so I know that it isn't a problem on my end. Busy Day…Going to Be a Busy Week

What a day! I got up and was downstairs around 6:30am, but guess who wasn't awake yet! When Woody is sleeping, I really hate to wake him up. So I did a few things that needed to be done sometime today. I guess it was good to get them done while I had energy...or they might not have gotten done! He woke up fairly soon and I got him his breakfast and then started setting up for today's dialysis treatment. It takes an hour or a little more to get everything set up. I was close to finished, when the home health nurse called wanting to come this morning. She said that she could be here by 9am so I told her to come on and I wouod connect him after she left. She came and went and we got down to time to do the cannulating/sticking. I didn't have the easiest time, but did mamage to get both needles in and started the treatment up and not long after it got underway I started getting yellow warnings about the arterial pressure being too high. I did the couple of things that I knew to do and then called Davida. She told me a couple of things to check...still didn't change the message. So she said that she would come since it was too hard to explain what else might need to be done. I did move the lines a little in two different places while I waited for her to come. When she got here...she checked the arterial line with a saline syringe and it flushed fine...as in no problems and then we upped the pump speed and all was fine. So we're not sure what the problem was...or who held their mouth just right to make it work! But as far as she could tell there were no problems and the machine behaved itself the rest of the treatment. Davida just came for those few minutes and the rest of the time we were on our own. She gave me "credit" for doing it all myself since we don't know what made it stop giving the warning. We told Davida that maybe the machine was missing her so messed up just so she would come! I forgot to mention, that I had just picked up the first needle to stick him and the phone rang. It was PT and she wanted to come at 1pm. I told her that it had better be 2pm since we still didn't have the treatment going. She ended up coming around 3pm...about 1/2 hour after Woody was freed from the machine. I was confused when I heard her voice as she had set up a time on Wednesday morning so she could work with him on a day he hadn't just had dialysis. I mentioned that and she had forgotten...or couldn't read her writing on her calendar! It surely does make it hard to plan a day! So we were done with medical "stuff" around 4pm. We had the prayer group come to our house again this evening and they left about 30 minutes ago. Seems like a whirlwind day...and this is nothing as to what will go on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday...those days we have appointments outside the house...two in Tullahoma and one in McMinnville...no dialysis on Wednesday, but Thursday and Friday we have to fit dialysis in after the appointments. Hoping that home health can fugure out their schedule! I have told them our schedule so they will have to make do with the hours that are left in the week! It was a beautiful spring-like day today...blue sky and all. My miniature jonquils have popped their little heads up and several have even opened. Nice to go out to get the mail and not freeze! Stormy Thursday

Tonight's photos show some of the pictures that I took the other day using the 4K feature that lets me capture still photos from 4K video clips. I made them into collages...for some reason they said "collage" to me. WE have had storms off and on today and they still arent over...thought at the moment all is calm...that couod be good...or...what's the saying? "The calm before the storm!" The really bad storms today have been south of us...so far. I decided to come in and blog a little early as this weekend is a virtual reunion at Cottey College and I am going to try to join some of the virtual meetings. One of my childhood friends is on the alum board and is on campus and they are having a Zoom meeting that I am going to try to join so I can see my friend at leaet! There are various things planned from tonight on through Sunday afternoon...so I will attempt to attend virtually without leaving the comforts of home! I have my Cotteybt-shirt on...so am ready! Now to see if my technical skills are ready! We have both stuck close to home today. I don't think that Woody even ventured upstairs. He says that he isnt sleeping much at night and I'm not around at night to verify that he isn't! I know that during the day he often says that he hasn't dozed off, but I nabe talked to him during that time he claims to have been awake and he has no idea that I said anything to him. Oh, well...I just know that he needs to sleep...at some time or another! I cooked this morning...made a meatloaf and then with the rest of the ground beef cooked some hamburger patties on the George Foreman grill. Woody chose a hamburger for lunch. I had a slice of meatloaf. I think we both enjoyed our choices. Just had a tornado warning drop down on my screen...warning means a tornado on the ground...thank goodness not a warning for our county...just praying everyone in the path stays safe! These warnings are for Tennessee...most today that I have heard were for Alabama. Our county is under a tornado watch (conditions right for a tornado) until later tonight...hoping all the bad stuff is passed us before it is time to connect Woody for his dialysis treatment tonight. I worked some more on my sampler index. I "think" that I only have one more set of magazines to go through and then I can be through with this task. I have really found some lovely ones...now to decide which ones to stitch. I already have one picked out to stitch after I finish the current project I am working on...but have to order some linen before I can start it. Well, off to see if I can tune into Zoom! Be safe!
