Movie Night?

The neighbors (Nathan, Kathy and family) had a movie night planned so came over to our house to escape the heat.  They are still without AC and will be till Monday afternoon. They are getting a new AC unit.  Nathan recently got this screen to use in their programs and decided to use it here for movie night...as, no way, do we have a screen that large!  It meant moving the couch in order to get it set up!  Determination won out and between Nathan and Graham they got it working.

They fixed their supper next door and brought it over here to cook it in our oven so they wouldn't heat up their house any more than it already is!

Four or five of the children came over here this afternoon and played games. A rousing game of Twister was one of the games.

Woody did our grocery shopping this morning and ran errands with his friend who has no transportation.  I put the groceries away.  Today I wrote another PDF file for my sewing club.  At the moment we have the two little boys upstairs as they became disinterested in the movie.  They are supposedly playing a racing game on the Osmo system...but are rather noisy so not sure exactly just what they are doing.  They shared part of their supper, home-made calzones, with me...something that isn't on Woody's list of allowable food items!  While Nathan got the screen and projector set up, I popped popcorn for their movie night.  Then Woody and I both came upstairs to hang out!  Woody is playing Scrabble with the computer and I am blogging and then hoping to read...I'm pretty sleepy this evening.  It has been a rather active day.
