I started this blog to keep folk up to date on my husband's melanoma treatments. I have kept up daily blogs for 15 1/2 years…sometimes health related...sometimes just daily routine. June 16th Woody took his final breath in his long health battle. I have blogged for so long that it is part of my daily routine…so I guess I will continue with posts from me about how I cope with this new stage in my life…widowhood.

Thursday
Woody headed off before 7 this morning to take his friend to a doctor appointment in McMinnville, TN. He didn't get home till a little before lunchtime. We had our main meal at noon today. I made chicken lyonnaise...supposedly a recipe from the Titanic. It was quite good and even better since there are leftovers. For supper tonight we had leftovers of our choice...in other words, we did what we call scrounging!
While Woody was gone I cleaned the upstairs bathrooms and then got underway with our lunch. This afternoon I made the birds happy and filled all the feeders. I was going to sit out and watch the birds for a while, but a pop-up storm blew in and gave us a couple of claps of thunder and some rain...so plants are happier tonight, too. Squirrels probably aren't all that happy with us as we are probably breaking up their families! I looked out a little while ago and Elijah had his 31st squirrel in the smaller of the traps! They just can't resist the sunflower seeds inside those traps!
Be safe!
Be well!
Be cautious!
