I started this blog to keep folk up to date on my husband's melanoma treatments. I have kept up daily blogs for 15 1/2 years…sometimes health related...sometimes just daily routine. June 16th Woody took his final breath in his long health battle. I have blogged for so long that it is part of my daily routine…so I guess I will continue with posts from me about how I cope with this new stage in my life…widowhood.

Hay Day Friday
We usually get some pretty pictures of hay bales in fields, so decided to post one this evening instead of a barn.
Not a lot happening here today. We both did run an errand. Woody picked up a prescription for his friend and delivered it to him. Then he delivered church literature to his deacon family shut-ins. I got online last night and put some books on hold for Woody. The library called this morning to say they were ready to be picked up. I set a time to get them. I decided that was a good time to run to Lowes to get a circular light bulb for my magnifying lamp.
Woody didn't sleep well last night so he has done a lot of snoozing during the day. Hope he sleeps tonight! I made an old recipe that I called sunshine salad when our kids were little = orange jello, grated carrot, and crushed pineapple. I thought it would appeal to Woody and he said it tasted good. Jello counts as some of the fluid he needs to drink each day. He's none too fond of all the water he's supposed to drink each day.
Well, squirrel count is 32 today! And, we only saw one squirrel in the front yard today...when the trap wasn't set. Once Elijah put the trap back we didn't see any when we were sitting on the porch today. Woody never sat on the porch...didn't get as hot as it was supposed to. He's hoping for the 90's as a Father's Day present!
Be safe!
Be well!
Be cautious!
