I started this blog to keep folk up to date on my husband's melanoma treatments. I have kept up daily blogs for 15 1/2 years…sometimes health related...sometimes just daily routine. June 16th Woody took his final breath in his long health battle. I have blogged for so long that it is part of my daily routine…so I guess I will continue with posts from me about how I cope with this new stage in my life…widowhood.

Labor Day 2021
My main labor of the day was to complete the top area of the sampler that I am working on so I was able to roll the sampler so I can stitch the bottom row of houses on the town square. Woody did go to Monday Night Furnace Room Prayer Meeting, but he was the only one so he came home after waiting till a little after 6:30. They never cancel due to holidays, but Woody really didnt expect anyone tonight as he knew that some were out of town...but you never know if someone other than the usual group might show up so he went just in case. Nathan, Isaac, and Joseph stopped by for a few minutes this afternoon. They brought us some garden veggies and shared some about their weekend travels. They went to a camp ground in South Carolina that is run by a former missionary. Nathan had reconnected with this missionary earlier this year and they made plans for them to go juggle at their campground. We first met this missionary when Nathan was in 6th grade and there was a mission conference in the area Baptist churches. The missionary stayed at our house during the week that he was in town. I think that they enjoyed reconnecting after all these years...both Nathan and the missionary had changed a bit over the years! It's time for me to go down and get Woody's nightly dialysis started. Be safe! Be well! Be cautious!
