I started this blog in 2009 to keep folk up to date on my husband's melanoma treatments. I have kept up daily blogs for 16 years…sometimes health related...sometimes just daily routine. 6/16/24 Woody took his final breath in his long health battle. I have blogged for so long that it is part of my daily routine…so I guess I will continue with posts from me about how I cope with this new stage in my life…widowhood.

Another Frigid Day
We are still in the middle of a deep freeze here in Middle Tennessee. To tell the truth, I am ready for it to warm up quite a bit. I did venture out late this afternoon to take the garbage can to the road and check my mail. But I was back inside as quickly as possible! Today turned into a baking day due to needing to use some sourdough starter. I made a small recipe of biscuits...pretty good! And, I have started a recipe for Sourdough English Muffin Bread. It is supposed to rise for 12-24 hours...so far not a lot of rising. I think that I will be putting it in the oven on "proof" in the morning hoping to get a rise out of it! I haven't done a lot more during the day...a little reading and a little cross stitching. I plan to do some more cross stitching this evening. I do feel better today...not blowing my nose as much and my sinus headache is only dull...so I think that I am heading in the right direction. I have been glad to have the last couple of days to not have to do much and pretty much just take it easy. I did play around, again, with my camera. Having fun taking close-ups of some of my tree ornaments...for no reason, especially, except to try out lenses and settings on my camera...the ornaments give me something to practice on! I have a load of clothes to get out of the dryer and need to finish loading the dishwsher...then I am through for the night and plan to just sit around and stitch and watch a bit of television or perhaps some YouTubes about cross stitching. Those YouTubes have been dubbed "flosstubes" by stitchers. To be continued! Be safe! Be well! Be cautious!
