Donna and I worked in the library...did the minimum amount of maintenance and then decided to go back to weeding the collection. While we were working, Nathan called suggesting that we make a trip to a Mennonite greenhouse. They had all their plants marked half price. Nathan found more pf what he wanted than I did. I did get some basil. I got my four little plants planted after I got home...I think that Nathan and the kids are still digging holes for his purchases. Right next door to the green houses there is a Mennonite run grocery store. We stopped there and checed out what they had. I bought some farmer's cheese and some strawberry rhubarb jam. Nathan got some plain gelatin for a cookimg project/experiment that he and the children are planning. He also got a few other things. It was a nice side trip to add onto the day! I know I will enjoy the goodies from the store and will soon be using the basil in my cooking. I saw several barns onthis trip, but didn't take a camera..I thought about it, but forgot to pick it up before I left. We didn't go far so I think I could retrace our steps. Most of the barns I saw had quilt squares painted on them. To be continued! Be safe! Be well! Be cautious!
