This picture was taken yesterday between 1 and 2 pm...a beautiful blue sky with puffy white clouds and if you note in the bottom right corner the golfers were out enjoying a pretty nice day even though it was breezy. I guess that wind blew in what we have had today! Today between 1 and 2 pm it was pouring! And, it has pretty much rained continually since. We have had so much rain this month, that even large old trees are uprooting. A tree in our next door neighbors front yard (not Nathan and Karhy's) fell with a huge crash Sunday morning while we were getting ready for church. It fell across our road so we had to go out the other end of our street to get to church. It had been removed from the street by the time we came home. It was a huge old oak (like the ones we have in our front yard. Oaks unfortunately get really big...but their root system doesn't go very deep...so extremely wet conditions, wind, heavy snow or ice can take them down.
I had an abbreviated day of school. Joseph had his preschool time and the rest read. But this week we aren't having "Grammy long time" with any of the children since we have had so many appointments both with home health and away from the house this week. Woody's home health nurse came early today so she could do the blood draw and change the dressing on the picc line. I was then able to start his antibiotic infusion 30-minutes early so it would be finished in time for him to head off to for his appointment. This appointment was with the folk who give him his anemia shot and check to see if he is doing okay with his B-12, red blood count, etc. They are the ones who decide
each time that he goes to see them, if he needs to go to the local hospital for a blood transfusion.
And, this time it was good news. He didn't need one. Woody told me before he went that he didn't think that he would need a transfusion this time as he wasn't feeling as tired. Looks like he was right!
