I started this blog to keep folk up to date on my husband's melanoma treatments. I have kept up daily blogs for 15 1/2 years…sometimes health related...sometimes just daily routine. June 16th Woody took his final breath in his long health battle. I have blogged for so long that it is part of my daily routine…so I guess I will continue with posts from me about how I cope with this new stage in my life…widowhood.

Santa's Helper Stopped By!
We're just finishing our supper. We waited till after Monday night prayer meeting so we are eating fashionably late...We have had a fairly busy day for staying home except for prayer meeting this evening. And, boy was it an awakening to a drop in temperature as we left and even more of a drop when we came home. We are under a freeze warning till tomorrow mid morning. It's alredy 32° and there was a wind blowing. Brrrrrrrrrr! We were very glad to get back in the house! There is a group has connected with Dr. O's kidney group and they are now part of Woody's care. We had a telemed visit with a nurse practitioner. We were in that appointment for an hour. All I can say it is just one more set of questions that Woody has to answer...the same questions that he has beem asked by multiple other agencies. Seems so redundant! Oh, well, and, that was only half of the imitial appointment. She made an appointment to come see Woody later in the month. Oh, boy! At least so far we haven't had to leave home! A little after that appointment ended, we got a call from the dialysis center and they have an opening tomorrow morning. Always glad to get the treatment underway and not have it run so late in the day. Now...about the visitor that we had that I alluded to in the title of tonight's blog. Nathan stopped by to see us and I asked him if he had time to help me get the rest of the boxes into the Christmas closet! I had dealt with half or more of the boxes and planned to get the rest put in today...so it was nice to have some help. And, they are all now in the closet and the doors closed! This is the first time since early November that the upstairs hall has been clear of boxes...a very good thing! Nathan makes a very good Santa's helper! To be continued! Be safe! Be well! Be cautious! And, stay warm, if the frigid air is visiting you once again during these last days of Winter!
