I started this blog to keep folk up to date on my husband's melanoma treatments. I have kept up daily blogs for 15 1/2 years…sometimes health related...sometimes just daily routine. June 16th Woody took his final breath in his long health battle. I have blogged for so long that it is part of my daily routine…so I guess I will continue with posts from me about how I cope with this new stage in my life…widowhood.

Final Party of 2024…I Think!
Of the five partying with me today, only three & I got in a picture. Erin was asleep in the chair and Wade was behind us. Alex was the instigator for the photos. We had a nice lunch = Stuffed Spud Soup and all the toppings one would put on a baked potato. Well, all but Alex had this soup...Alex had pizza. Alex is a "bit" of a picky eater and soup isn't on his list of what he will eat! We also had homemade Sourdough French Bread and a cheese spread with a variety of crackers. An interesting aside...the cheese spread is a recipe of Rosalyn Carters...felt sort of strange when I thiught about the fact that Jimmy Carter had died on the day I was making one of his wife's recipes. We had a nice time visiting. Alex and Brooke regaled us with stories of their lives as dorm parents! Some interesting situation have arisen that they have had to deal with! This evening I went to Monday Night Furnace Room Prayer Meeting. I'm home now and in for tonight and maybe tomorrow...sort of ready to stay put and just putter around the house. I plan to stitch as soon as I publish the blog. I have been saying since Melany and Wade and their crew left, that I was going to stitch and so far I haven't done any stitching. 'Tis the Season...still! To be continued! Be safe! Be well! Be cautious! 2024 is sooooo close to being over...doesn't seem possible!
