Not a Creature Was Stirring

Happy Christmas Eve 2024. Last night just after I blogged, the doorbell rang and before I got to the door I heard carols being sung. When I opened the door, the porch was pretty much filled with carolers...all with the last name Dorrell! I convinced them to come in and serenade me in the warmth. They had brought me a gift that had arrived in the mail that day...the component that will fix the plug-in place on my sewing machine. Nathan and Graham plan to come some day and figure out how to get it put in the machine. We visited for a little while and the kids enjoyed some of the candy that I have been gifted during the holidays. I ended up putting off making the bread till this morning. I did make it, but before it was cooled and bagged up, I started getting a sore throat. So decided that gifting the bread to neighbors wasn't the best idaa. I think that I am coming down with a cold. At least I got through all the Christmas festivities! I had debated whether I would go to our Candlelight service at church tonight, but with the sniffles that decision was made for me. I have sat and watched Christmas movies and stitched. I have worked on two different projects. It's nice to just sit quietly and not have something that needs to be done by a certain time...that's what I like about the week after Christmas...the down time. 'Tis the Season! To be continued! Be safe! Be well! Be cautious!
