Trick or Treat…at My House!

Look what you get when you trick or treat at my house! That's all this heron got in his treat bucket...at least it is a pretty leaf! The second photo is the tree that I have been keeping tabs on as it changes its colors. Today much more colorful than yesterday! Tomorrow the leaves may be mostly on the ground. These maples turn their vivid colors, but drop them pretty quickly and they will be a carpet on my neighbor's lawn! I didn't have anything that I "had" to do today, so I decided to stay home and take advantage of an at-home day. I am gearing up to make stockings from Melany's needlepoint. I have two to make...one for Wade and one for Erin. I just have to get into the right frame of mind to get going on them. I have been getting the sewing cutting table ready to have room to work on them. I did roast the pork tenderloin that I got for a bargain price of 96¢. There were two pieces so I roasted both of them and froze one to have at another time. I figure that an equal amount of lunchmeat would cost a lot more than this...I will have some good eating for several meals from the one and then several more from the one I froze. I got the kitchen all cleaned up so I would have the evening to stitch and watch TV. Tonight have my two favorite new programs: Matlock and Elsbeth. To be continued! Be safe! Be well! Be cautious!
