Another name for the Naked Lady Lilies is "Surprise Lily"...they pop up overnight and bloom before there are any leaves. I learned the "Naked Lady" name for these lilies in one of the garden areas at Colonial Williamsburg. I took these photos after I watered this morning. We have had so much rain this spring and summer, but give us some hot temperatures, and, the ground dries out pretty quickly. After I watered this morning, I came in to rest and cool off and finished another ornament. This afternoon, I ran errands...Credit Union, Hobby Lobby, and my pharmacy. I was getting embroidery floss that I had run out of. I was getting some for the ornaments that I have planned to stitch next. I am beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel for this year's ornaments...still around 8 to stitch...but quite a few more stitched than I have left to stitch. i think the final count will be around 25 ornaments that I have stitched this year. Joy reached her three week mark from when she got her concussion. She continues to improve very slowly...but she definitely is better than she was three weeks ago.To be continued! Be safe! Be well!
