Since Cheryl has been here, we have gotten around 2 inches of rain. So far I haven't emptied the rain gauge so we can see a total of the rainfall while she is here. Rain is of great interest…especially when one is from AZ…one of the reasons that I enjoy keeping track of rain. Cheryl is enjoying porch sitting in the rain. It felt a little chilly to me today. I just hunted down a long-sleeved t-shirt for this evening.
Today I finished getting Julianna's room ready. After I blog, we're heading upstairs to finish up Rachel's room. I need to move the sewing table out of the room…and maybe dust a little. They will be here tomorrow night at this time if all goes as planned. I expect to see them pull in 4:30-5pm tomorrow.
This afternoon, Cheryl and I watched a movie, Remarkably Bright Creatures, with Sally Field. I had read the book with the Cottey Bookclub so was interested in seeing it…but it is on Netflix and I don’t have Netflix…but Cheryl does so..! I enjoyed it…interesting to see how the book was turned into a movie. I will say the book was better, but they did a pretty good job with the movie. We also enjoyed watching the antics of birds and squirrels via the backyard bird cam on my iPad. The best was the mama feeding her fledgling at the bird feeder.
The rain stopped after we finished the movie, so we headed to Kroger to get a few things for the next week. It's hard to believe that Cheryl has been here almost a week and that it is time for Rachel and Julianna to join us. And, it is really hard to believe that 10 days from. I will be on a ship heading to Alaska.
To be continued! Be safe! Be well! Be cautious!
