I started this blog in 2009 to keep folk up to date on my husband's melanoma treatments. I have kept up daily blogs for 17 years…sometimes health related...sometimes just daily routine. 6/16/24 Woody took his final breath in his long health battle. I have blogged for so long that it is part of my daily routine…so I guess I will continue with posts from me about how I cope with this new stage in my life…widowhood.

Already a Week Gone in 2026
Can you believe that we have started the 2nd week in 2026? Do you suppose 2026 will go by as fast as 2025? Tonight's barn photo is another view of last night's barn...a barn that is still pretty...but when you see more of it, it shows that it has seen better days! I spent another day just puttering around the house. It's nice to have a few down days...days that I don't have to go lots of places and can stay home and do whatever. I, again, spent time in the sewing room. I'm still doing some altering on some clothes and hemming pants. I am about to settle into the downstairs recliner and hem the second pair of pants...same task that I was about to do last night after I blogged. I did get those pants hemmed so I got the second ready to hem and am now going to hem them this evening. Once that task is done, I plan to watch some TV and work on my cross stitch pieces. I did stitch a little this morning so will finish stitching the flagpole on my patriotic piece. And, then see what I will stitch on next of the five things that I m working on currently. I once again cleared off the sewing table...it had gotten covered with items needed to make ornaments...I am slowly getting it cleared off. I hope that maybe I will get back to sewing in the not too far future and need the sewing table for cutting out a pattern. I have enjoyed the little sewing that I have done over the last couple of days. To be continued! Be safe! Be well! Be cautious!
