Home, Again! Home, Again!

Well, plans can change! We got up this morning and looked at the weather that was supposedly coming. We were in a place in Georgia that it was predicted to get a lot of rain from the Helene and we decided to head home today before the big onslaught of rain got this far north. We did drive in rain most of the time home...pretty much rained on us till we got to Tullahoma...I got my things out of Marie's car and into the house and Marie backed the car out and it started sprinkling. We have gotten some rain...most I have seen here in a while. I can actually say that the ramp is wet. We're still pretty much at the edge of whatever is coming...so rain...on again, off again. We had a very nice time despite leaving early. The hotel was sooooo nice and the restaurant in the hotel was very good for both dinner and breakfast. The lobby was so spacious...great for visiting with friends. We did lots of talking and laughing...reminiscing and catching up...just a good time by all. All were in agreement at the end of the stay that we would like to do it again next year...same time, same place...just preferably without a hurricane. We came from SC, TN, and AL...only the South Carolinians decided to stay tonight. They had been camping prior to coming to this gathering. I think they were enjoying the luxury of "inside camping." They said that they would stay another night if it wasn't safe to leave tomorrow. Pictures were far and few between...due to the rain...tonight's photo was one of the rare ones that I took standing outside with only a few raindrops falling. Had a great time...but it is good to be safely home...awaiting the storm to pay its visit here. To be continued! Be safe! Be well! Be cautious!

  1. Lois, that is such a beautiful picture from that vantage point. The meadow, the mountains and the clouds are just beautiful.
