I started this blog to keep folk up to date on my husband's melanoma treatments. I have kept up daily blogs for 15 1/2 years…sometimes health related...sometimes just daily routine. June 16th Woody took his final breath in his long health battle. I have blogged for so long that it is part of my daily routine…so I guess I will continue with posts from me about how I cope with this new stage in my life…widowhood.

Busy Spring-Like Day!
The day started out a bit foggy, but soon it turned into a beautifuk spring-like day. Woody had a better than usual night sleep due to a new purchase...a new couch. Without me asking how he had slept, he said that he was glad that we had replaced our old couch and that he had slept well on it. Nathan and Kathy and a crew of our grandchildren removed the old couch and brought in the new one last evening. i had planned to take a photo, but Woody is already stretched out on it with his quilt covering it. I figure he is anticipating another good night's rest. Dialysis went well today, as far as I could tell...at least he was out on time and he had an easier time with transferring from chair to car and car to chair each time today. He did seem a little stronger today...and best of all...no falls! While he was at dialysis, I did some grocery shopping, came home and put most of them away before picking him up at dialysis. We cqme home and got him settled. I got him his lunch and then I left for a couple of hours to go out to lunch with a group of ladies from my Sunday School class. We had a good time eating and visiting with each other. And, looked around a gift shop that was connected to the restaurant. A fun couple of hour get away! Tomorrow will be busy. He first has an appointment with the wound care center which is being combined with the gentleman who is attempting to come up with a brace for Woody's leg. We will see what he has come up with tomorrow...maybe. The wound care appointment tends to be long anyway and with this added on it will probably take longer...which means that we had better take a snack for him to eat before his next appointment that is scheduled for after lunch. He has his TN Oncology appointment for his next Keytruda infusion. To be continued! Be safe! Be well! Be cautious!
