Thursday Doings

The day, since it is Thursday, started with heading out the door to go to the dialysis center. According to the nurse, all went well. Seems like he gets out later with this new schedule. Once again, we got there a little before the time they ask him to be there. So I guess we are getting settled into the new the new time slot. All I can say is that it is different. I sort of miss the patients that I had gotten to know while sitting in the waiting room. I'm one step closer to having the wedding garb finished. I got Esther's dress hem basted so it is ready to be tried on. I did a little cooking...just put together the ground pork mixture to make Woody's breakfast sausage. I will cook it tomorrow and get it into the freezer to use as needed for his breakfasts. I also made him some egg salad for a choice for sandwiches...I made tuna salad yesterday...two sandwiches that sound good to him at the moment. I need to get the grocery list ready as I plan to go to Kroger in the morning. Our new schedule doesn't make it as easy to grocery shop while Woody is at dialysis so I am going to change days. Fridays are good except a LOT of people shop on Friday, but if I can make myself get out the door early, it should be okay...plus it is 4X gas points on Friday. I'll at least attempt it tomorrow. I think that it is going to rain in the morning...not ideal conditions to move groceries into and out of the trunk. I checked today and the frame for Abigail and Payton's sampler is ready so I need to find time to take the sampler to them to be put into the frame. Then I can give it to them officially. Today has really been a do-a-little-of-this-and-a-little-of-that-kind-of day. Lots to do around here so the days tend to stay pretty full of all kinds of things. I did manage to get in a nap this afternoon. So like I said...I did a little of this and a little of that. I am working on a new cross stitch piece...hoping to turn it into a gift...IF...I get it finished. Woody got did his crosswords per usual and watched some TV...he even found an old St. Louis Cardinal game...players that I recognized unlike the players of today. He has retired to his couch/bed. His days start out pretty early these days. He's still watching TV, but I'll bet that he is asleep by the time that "my show" (Elsbeth) comes on! He hasn't kept awake yet for it. To be continued! Be safe! Be well! Be cautious!
