Our Ship(lap) Has Sailed—Day 16

All the shiplap/nickel gap sailed out kitchen window today...that is all that was leftover.  Thus another phase (3rd) of the kitchen upgrade is finished...all the shiplap/nickel gap is on the walls.  The third phase crew/shiplap crew received word this morning that they were the crew who would continue with the painting, flooring, etc.  The phase 2 team who did the ceiling and were coming back to do the painting are finishing up another job that is just around the corner from us.  And, since they want our work to continue they reassigned the jobs.  Today they did work on fixing our squeaky floor...that was probably caused by Nathan practicing ball bouncing in the wee hours of the morning during his Motlow College days.  When I told the workers probably why the floor squeaked, they were interested in see some juggling.  This morning when they took a break, Nathan and the whole family came out to our front yard and told "The Diamond Story" via their juggling.  The short break was appreciated!  After they got the nickel gap done, they left to gather in supplies that they will need to begin the painting.  They came back and did some caulking while I was working at the library.  They also took my paint chip samples.  I hope they come close to matching what I chose.  They use a different brand of paint than the one that I found that I liked the color for...I have been told that the color can be scanned and a formula figured out.  We will see! It is starting to come together...good to see progress!

Woody headed off to the local farmer's market early this morning and bought some very good corn for us and some for the neighbors.  I headed off mid morning with Joy to get her some new shoes.
She looks happy!
