Twelve hours!

A lot of you have asked how many hours it takes to drive to NIH (Bethesda, MD). Today it took right at twelve hours. We started a little before 6am (Central time) and got home a little before 6pm (Central time). We had quite a bit of rain...at times the rain was coming down very hard. Prior to the rain starting, we were slowed to a snail's pace (tonight's picture) for around four loooooooooong miles due to an accident. We made several stops for gas, rest stops, lunch, etc. Woody did fine...again he drove (one doctor said that he could and one said that he couldn't...guess which one's directive he followed!). Both surgeons didn't want him to be taking pain medication if he was driving and he hasn't taken any since the evening of his surgery. He is in a lot less pain now than prior to the surgery.

It's good to be back home.
Now the waiting game has started to see if the cells they want to grow will grow from this tumor...again we won't know anything for two to three weeks.

  1. Welcome Back. Glad you made the trip safely. We will be praying that the Cells work like they are susposed to.
