Good Report!

Woody got what we expected...another good report from his scans. The doctors told us that at this point the tumors that they are observing have shrunk 60% from the size that they were prior to his NIH protocol...of course most that they started out observing have disappeared...there are just two tumors remaining and those continue to shrink! Just what we wanted/expected to hear! This morning we got up and headed down for a complimentary buffet breakfast...our "compensation" for having to wait so long for a feather free room yesterday. The breakfast was a nice start to our day! After breakfast we checked out and took the hotel shuttle to NIH. We put our suitcase in the car and then turned in the voucher form for hotel and car mileage. After Woody picked up the voucher check, we decided that we would go to the clinic and get Woody signed in...hoping that he would be at the top of the list to be seen. Amazingly enough they were wanting to see patients early. They called him in right away and it wasn't long till his new female fellow came in to talk to him. Then one of the main docs on Woody's research team came in and talked to him for a few minutes and then we were out of there! We were literally leaving the clinic a whole hour before his appointment time. We "hopped" in the car and were "on the road again." We have now stopped for the night in Bristol, VA...about 5 miles from the TN border. We'll have about 300 miles to drive tomorrow. So the good Lord willin' I'll be blogging from home tomorrow night.
