I started this blog to keep folk up to date on my husband's melanoma treatments. I have kept up daily blogs for almost 15 years...sometimes health related...sometimes just daily routine. My husband was in remission with his Melanoma but new melanoma diagnosis 3/2021 so started back on Keytruda. 8/2020 began home Peritoneal Dialysis. 7/2022 began training for home hemodialysis…never a dull moment! Come join us in our daily routine...sometimes humdrum...sometimes sit on the edge of your seat!

The party's over!
We had a great time! In the end we had 19, as Nathan and family were able to come for a while before they left for their gig in Huntsville. We had a chili tasting party: appetizers...several kinds of chips and crackers to go with the Mexican cheeseball and queso rotel sauce/dip...then...three kinds of chili (white, regular, and vegetarian)...a variety of toppings for the chili...also hot dogs for those interested...plain corn bread muffins and Mexican corn bread muffins...and last but not least...dessert...blueberry cheesecake bars and blueberry dump cake with ice cream. Lots for the tasting! And...lots left to eat on the rest of the week!
Woody seemed to do pretty well and enjoyed visiting. As he says, when there is distraction, he doesn't focus on how he feels or his pain. And...there was quite a lot of distraction with 9 little ones running here and there! Erin helped me with the final preparations after they got here. Then after we ate, Kathy volunteered to wash what wouldn't fit in the dishwasher, Linda dried the dishes and I put things away.
Now we are both ready to rest and relax!
