Remembering

It has been another busy day. Most of the busyness came when we "packed up" and went to the doctor. We saw Woody's nephrologist at the Fresenius Kidney Clinic. They continue to work with Woody trying to get him feeling better. One thing that Dr. O is addressing is his blood pressure. He is to take his blood pressure prior to taking any blood pressure med and then we have instructions to stop taking look pressure meds until his blood pressure starts to rise and then to add them back in a different times. It's all a lot to keep up with! They are also having him take something to try to settle his stomach...that was an easy med to add as it is over the counter and I take it and had just gotten some new and it came in a multiple bottle box...so I have given him one of the bottles. They also have lessened the amount of fluid that is put into Woody during each of the four cycles and we are dropping the strength of the solution. So we shall see! We go back next week to see a nurse and they evaluate to see how everything is going. The nurse thought that Woody's color looked better than it did on Tuesday. He also got the shot that is supposed to be helping with his anemia. So it is a lot of trial and error!! Nathan took us to the clinic again today. Another thing that they said is that Woody can do his dialysis during the day if it is interfering with his sleep. If he decides to do that we will just start a little earlier each evening until we can complete the dialysis during the waking hours. Since he isn't any too peppy at the moment and doing a lot of sitting that he can do dialysis while doing his crossword puzzles, watching tv and reading just as easily and he will be sitting up in the recliner. I don't know a if he wants to start a little earlier tonight or not. Everything is set up so we can start whenever he wants. Be safe! Be well! Be cautious!
