I started this blog to keep folk up to date on my husband's melanoma treatments. I have kept up daily blogs for almost 15 years...sometimes health related...sometimes just daily routine. My husband was in remission with his Melanoma but new melanoma diagnosis 3/2021 so started back on Keytruda. 8/2020 began home Peritoneal Dialysis. 7/2022 began training for home hemodialysis…never a dull moment! Come join us in our daily routine...sometimes humdrum...sometimes sit on the edge of your seat!

Much Better Day
Woody got to feeling better sometime in the night...so today was a much better day. The day started out pretty early since we had to be ready for a delivery of dialysis supplies anytime between the hours of 7 and 11am. Often we are first on the list and they are here by 7, but today the truck with supplies didn't get here till a little after 8. The delivery time gave us plenty of time to get to Woody's appointment at TN Oncology. That appointment was fairly quick as Woody's oncologist decided to put off starting back on Keytruda for another month at least. He echoed what Dr. Wyman at Vanderbilt said...that perhaps Keytruda isnt necessary at the moment since his tumor is being treated in another way and scans showed that there wasn't evidence of more melanoma in other parts of his body...just the tumor and a lymph node of same arm as tumor. So for the moment Keytruda is on hold. Also since Woody's cough is beginning to go away, the doctor thought to see if wouod be even better staying off Keytruda another month. After the appointment, we stopped to get gas and then stopped at Kroger to get a couple of things. By that time we were ready to be at home! Nathan did stop by and put a new bulb in our outside light over the garage door. Nathan came in and visited for a few minutes. Now it is time to set up dialysis...another day in our lives is coming to a close! Be safe! Be well! Be cautious!
