Wednesday Work!

Melany, Erin, and the home health nurse arrived at the same time this morning. Melany and Erin got busy getting things ready to paint the mail box and post. The nurse got down to business...one of her tasks today was to communicate with the wound care doctor via a telemed call. The doctor made a couple of suggestions and changes to the way we are to dress the wounds. Positive steps forward. We had a nice visit with Melany and Erin and they got accomplished what Melany had set out to do...paint and stencil the mailbox, paint the post and lattice behind the mailbox, and get the leaves cleaned out of the mailbox garden...goals met! It's so nice to have the mailbox freshly painted. We all were pleased with the match of colors. In the future we will use this color paint to paint the rails and posts on the front porch. And, paint the door with this color blue...seems appropriate, as the blue paint color name is "Country Door."We had lunch together...today was a fast food day..Arby's and Sonic to meet everyone's food wishes. After lunch, Melany went out to finish the paint job...paint numbers and stencil tulips. I went to get my hair cut. Goosey(Woody) and Erin rested! We visited a little more after i got back, but they left fairly early as Melany had a PT appointment for her bum shoulder. The goals she set to accomplish were all ines she coukd do and not hurt her shoulder or over exert with her foot that has just come out of a boot for a stress fracture. The rest of the day was pretty much uneventful up until a little while ago. The nurses have been urging him to drink some protein shakes so he decided to have one for his supper. Well, it only stayed down a very short time. I have a large load of wash going now due to that "incident!"To be continued! Be safe! Be well! Be cautious! I think that I met the oldest person I have ever come in contact with! She will be 106 on Friday! She was getting her hair done after me today. I wished her a happy birthday as I was leaving. She laughed and said, "and many more, right?!?"
