A Day to Rmember!

Our first remembrance of the day is a wedding that took place 29 years ago today.  My how time does fly.  In some ways it seems like yesterday and in others like a lifetime ago!!  Happy 29th anniversary, Wade and Melany!  It was definitely a more relaxed day than it was 29 years ago!!

Woody decided to tackle the front porch railing...washing all the mold, etc. off of it.  It is a bit labor intensive when it comes to wiping off all those spindles!  But it also a job that he can mostly do from a rocking chair on the porch.  The part he has gotten done looks great!

This must have been a day of work for our neighbors...yesterday they played at Tims Ford Lake and today they labored!  Lawns have been mowed at both our houses.  Weed eater has been used.  And, while I napped this afternoon, the back of our house got pressured washed.  When I was waking up I was trying to figure out what I was hearing!  I went out back to get some herbs for our supper and the back looks great.  Graham has been assigned that job...a side a day! The back has the longer expanse, but doesn't have the height that the sides and front do!  Nathan did some earlier on the front...the part that he could reach standing on the ground...guess he left the high places for Graham!

I will end tonight with a house and a barn from our latest barn trip that pay homage to this Memorial Day observance, when we remember those who gave their lives to give us our freedom.
