Mid-May Report

Woody got up this morning and headed out the door to do his eight-mile walk to Kroger and back. Later in the morning he went to the library. He has watched a dvd and some baseball and worked on cross word puzzles. This has been sort of a lazy day for me...I look back on it and realize that I didn't accomplish much. I did sit down and read for a while today (without falling asleep!). I headed out to do three errands and ended up only doing one as a storm was approaching. We mainly got thunder and lightning...but I just didn't want to get caught out in it. Graham spent some time over here this afternoon working on his K'nex roller coaster that is six feet long and three feet high. This coaster has taken Graham one step closer to his dream of our living room becoming a K'nex room! Hey...it is a living room that is very much lived in and that is good!

Woody and I just returned from taking a short walk. It was very pleasant sitting beside a pond at our turn-around point. Woody spotted a bird up in a tree that I could never find...he's not sure what kind it was.

Woody did end up taking the steristrips off his surgical incision last night...so no more tape. It is good that he took them off, as he was starting to have a reaction to the adhesive on those strips that acted as stitches for his incision. He is healing well. It doesn't seem possible that last week at this time we were nearing home from our second trip to NIH in Maryland.
