On the road again!

Well, at the moment we are stopped for the night. We are in Lexington, VA. We started out this morning around 6:15 (central time) and stopped around 4:15 pm (Central time)...though we are now on Eastern time...we change to eastern time so quickly on this trip as we live so close to the eastern edge of the Central time zone. We have traveled 460+ miles today. We have had good weather for the whole trip. We did start out in fog...to be expected after all our rain. The area of TN that we traveled in today didn't show signs of the flooding that is happening in the Nashville and surrounding areas.

At the last rest stop in TN there were several beds of iris...Tennessee's state flower...tonight's picture.

After we got things brought into our room, we took a short walk...to get the kinks out after a long day in the car.

We'll get up in the morning and eat breakfast here at the hotel and then check out and head on down the road. We are to go to NIH and get Woody admitted and check out several things that I need to know about the shuttles, etc. and when the time is appropriate we will check in at the Safra Lodge for tomorrow night. I'll be blogging from the National Institutes of Health campus tomorrow night...the good Lord willing!
